No Planet B
Some say the work of a journalist is easy. As long as you got the pen and the paper then viola! You can write. But it's not that easy, especially if you want to touch someone's lives and make them accountable for all their doings. Consider our environment. You want people to take action, do better to our surroundings, and be more responsible. But how will you make them listen to you? How will they know you're even worth being listened to? How will I know I am worth listening to.
Music. Music makes people listen. And so with a little bit of ink on paper and a good ear I created the No Planet B and Mother. Both songs talk about the present state of our environment in the modern society. How we are subconsciously destroying earth and still pretending everything is better. Basically it's a make-you-guilty kinda song. It tells you to open your eyes to the possibilities of the outcomes of our actions. With every action comes consequences whether it's bad or good. And these consequences greatly affects our environment.
No Planet B
Grass aint greener
Anymore frankly
Sky's not clearer
Cant breath freely
Chorus:
There's no planet B
Earth is we'll ever have
Cant you really see?
Now its a waste of land
There's no planet B
We suffer & they fall
Saving is the key
That's what we're living for
There's no planet B
Our planet's all we had
Why do people feel
That killing seems reward?
There's no planet B
It will be the end
Better change to see
The nature's best we had
Verse II:
You act like you care but you dont
Petend you're blind and cant see
But it takes to feel that our Earth has always been full of hurt and tears
The sky, the trees, the sea
The air we breathe weeps in front of me
-Break-
Verse III:
If nature talked to you
It'll plead from its core
What should be the truth?
Its really all our fault
Change must start with you
To save our mother Earth
Time to kill our views
That there's another Earth but
Chorus

This is actually a digital pop style to catch the attention of modern societies especially the youths. The title No Planet B in particular says it all. Scientists and researchers are all finding ways to have an alternative living planet just in case ours is not livable anymore. In this song, once the the earth is destroyed only then we'll realize that we cannot adapt to other planets. That it's too late to make it all right. That all those years and years of finding a new planet while we kill our own was the biggest mistake we ever did. It's good to prepare for the future, but remember that we only do that because we have today and let's always make today last.
Mother
Verse 1:
Wont u take a look around
Dont u hear that perfect sound
Of mother nature's heartbeat
Cant you see that she's in tears
Refrain I:
Were judge by our actions and not our intentions
Cant u see that she is fading
We tend to neglect all the cause of these troubles
Cant u see that she is falling?
Mother
Chorus I:
You are trees thats now been burned
You are the ashes from our land
You are the draughts to our sea
You are the poison that we breathe
You are our mother
Verse II:
Wont u take a look around
See the face of ruined God
The nature's beauty are lost
And we should care for it most
Refrain II:
We're judge by our actions and not our intentions
Evolving can be more destructing
We tend to feed more of our avarice perfections
We'll be the one who's only suffering
Mother
Chorus II:
You're now the withered flowers there
You are forest that's been bare
You are the darkness from the sky
You are the storm that's way up high
You are our mother
Bridge:
If we could love again
We'd swear we'll love you till the end
To make things rights again
We will embrace u like a friend
You are our mother
Chorus III:
You are the trees that now grows tall
You are the land with healthy soil
You are the clean and clear blue sea
You are the fresh air that we breathe
You're now the pretty flowers there
You are the forest that is green
You are the brightness from the sky
You are the rainbow way up high
You are our mother
The song Mother is a ballad genre. This song pleads and cries for help and rejuvenation. Earth is our actual mother and if you see your mother dying would you just stand back and watch? Some people definitely would. No doubt about that. But for those people who cares, they don't know how much difference they can make altogether. Every drop of water counts and is relevant to make an ocean, the ocean. Every person who cares counts for a bigger and more permanent change.
If you ask me what's the inspiration behind to write and turn them into songs? Simple, I want to experience life a bit more longer here on earth and hopefully I won't be alone. Don't you want to live and not just survive?
It is a great challenge for journalists to make people listen given our present circumstances wherein people don't have the time. We live in busy society that finds ignorance amusing and knowledge dull. With a short attention span a few people can give me, let's make them worthwhile, shall we?
